About us

Quality is built together

We work every day to give you the highest professional standards, adapting our teaching — in the classroom and behind the wheel — to the way you learn.

Because getting your licence is not just passing a test: it is the confidence to drive on your own, every day.

A story that has travelled with you since 1950

We are one of the first driving schools founded in Turin after the Second World War, started by Riccardo Ugaglia. For more than seventy years we have been teaching whole generations to drive safely and responsibly.

In 1983 the business passed to his son Piero and his wife Marina, who ran it for more than forty years, joined on this family journey by Carmen (from 1986) and Francesco (from 2013). Today Carmen and Francesco take up that baton, carrying the school forward with the same long-standing dedication.

The faces change, but our promise stays the same: putting the human relationship and empathy at the centre of everything. We want you to feel at home, so that driving becomes a calm, safe and rewarding experience.

Our story

What they say about us

It isn’t for us to tell you how much we care about your peace of mind and your safety: we let the words and enthusiasm of those who have already been through it with us tell you instead.

Questions we’re asked most often

If yours isn’t here, ask Carmen: she replies the same day.

How long does it take to get a car licence (B)?

We know you can’t wait to drive! How long it takes depends on how much you put into the studying and the lessons, and on the Motorizzazione’s own timings. Our aim? To support you step by step, keep every stage as short as we can and get you independent behind the wheel as soon as possible.

Can the classes be followed online?

No: by law, theory classes have to be attended in person. But don’t worry, we are here to make the process as simple as we can! In the classroom you get clear, lively explanations, and at home our app gives you all the support you need to practise the quizzes and follow your progress whenever you like.

What if I work or study and cannot make your class times?

We fit around your commitments!

If needed, we run theory classes over the lunch break or build a personalised path, so you can study without stress and make the most of your time. That way you can get your licence without giving up your studies or your job.

Talk to us: we’ll find the solution that works for you!

Can I enrol before I turn 18?

Yes, of course! We suggest enrolling two months before your birthday. That gives you time to attend the classes and practise the quizzes without stress. On the day you turn 18 you will already be more than ready for the theory exam and for the first big step towards your licence!

How much does a car licence (B) cost at a driving school?

The real cost depends only on you and on how you learn: the time you need to pass the theory exam and the lessons it takes to feel genuinely safe behind the wheel. We don’t sell rigid packages, because every student is different. Come and see us: we’ll have a chat and build the right path for you together, with no stress and to suit your budget!

How does licence renewal work?

You come to the office before the medical check so we can prepare the documents: bring your tax code, the licence (or CQC/CAP) to be renewed and a recent passport photo. The licensed doctor sees you here on Thursdays from 17:30 to 18:30. We handle the paperwork, including collecting the new document.
