Which cookies and technical storage the Autoscuola Ugaglia website uses, which third-party services are built in, and how to manage your preferences.

This page supplements the privacy policy and describes in detail the tools the website saves on your device. In short: we only use technical cookies, we do no tracking, and the only third-party content that requires your consent is the interactive Google Maps map.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that websites send to your browser, which stores them and sends them back on later visits. They are used, for example, to recognise who has logged in to a restricted area or to remember a preference. Alongside cookies there are similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage (localStorage), which saves information on your device without automatically sending it to the server.
The law distinguishes between technical cookies, which are needed to provide the service the user has asked for and can be used without consent, and profiling cookies, which track browsing to build profiles and send targeted advertising, and require prior consent.
Our approach
The website uses only first-party technical cookies and storage, that is, tools that are essential for what you are using to work. We do not install profiling cookies, analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), social network pixels or advertising cookies. No data about your browsing is passed on to third parties for marketing purposes.
Under the guidelines issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) on 10 June 2021, technical cookies do not require your consent. The banner that appears on your first visit asks for your consent to the only third-party content that could set cookies: the interactive Google Maps map on the Hours and location page. If you choose “Necessary only”, the website works normally and the map is replaced by a static box with the address.

Values saved in local storage stay on your device and are not sent to our servers. The session cookie is sent only to our server, only over an encrypted connection, and contains no personal data in clear text.
Third-party services
Google Maps
The Hours and location page offers an interactive map provided by Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map loads only after you choose “Accept all” in the banner: until then, no data is sent to Google. When the map is active, Google receives your IP address and information about your browser and may set its own cookies, in accordance with its privacy policy. If you choose “Necessary only”, instead of the map you see the office address and a link that opens Google Maps in a new tab, only if you click it.
Google Fonts
The website’s typeface is served by Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). The service does not set cookies, but to deliver the font file Google receives your browser’s IP address. As a resource needed to display the pages correctly, it is one of the website’s technical components.
Links to external services
The website contains links to WhatsApp, Google (reviews and directions), Facebook, Instagram and the official quiz platform. These are simple links: when you click them you leave our website and the policies of the respective providers apply. Until you open them, no data is sent to these services and none of their scripts run on our pages.
How to manage your preferences
From the banner and from this page
On your first visit, the banner at the bottom of the page offers two choices: “Accept all” also enables the Google Maps map, while “Necessary only” keeps just the technical components. You can change your mind at any time here: your new choice takes effect immediately and replaces the previous one.

Please note that if you block the session cookie you will not be able to log in to the student area, and that if you clear the site data the banner will be shown again on your next visit.
